Side Effects (2005) is a romantic comedy about the pharmaceutical industry starring Katherine Heigl as Karly Hert, a pharmaceutical "detailer", who becomes disillusioned with the lack of ethics in the pharmaceutical industry and has tough choices to make. Also starring Lucian McAfee, Dorian DeMichele, Dave Durbin, Temeceka Harris. The movie's title is a reference to the medical term side effects.

Author
The film was written and directed by ex-pharmaceutical sales rep Kathleen Slattery-Moschkau. The movie is loosely based on Kathleen's decade of working for the pharmaceutical industry. Katherine Heigl executive produced the film.
DVD
In 2009 New Line and Warner Bros. released the film to DVD.
